News 251110 - Official Opening of New Factory by Northern Irelands First Minister

On Thursday 25th November 2010 McAuley Engineering welcomed Northern Ireland’s First Minister, the Rt Hon Peter Robinson MLA, to officially open their newly occupied premises on the Ballymena Road, Ballymoney. 

As he officially opened the building, Mr Robinson said:
“It is great to be here to mark this achievement for McAuley Engineering. I am very encouraged by stories of indigenous businesses like this, and the drive of people like Jonathan McAuley with their vision for growth and expansion”

Mr Robinson also highlighted the importance of SME’s to employment in Northern Ireland:“95% of Northern Ireland’s businesses are SME’s, and through their continued inward investment and growth remain vital to the economy and employment in Northern Ireland”

Managing Director of McAuley Engineering, Jonathan McAuley, said of the expansion:“Relocating to this prime site in Ballymoney gives us the ideal platform to continue our business growth. Already we have successfully secured new contracts, brought 25 extra jobs to the local area and smoothed production to allow the exploration of new export markets and products. Although the economy is still in uncertain times, our strategy for growth and innovation will continue to be through ongoing investment in equipment, infrastructure, people and systems. “
